Palm Pre+ 50+ Apps at once

January 21, 2010

Above, we compare the multitasking prowess of the new Palm Pre Plus on Verizon to the original Palm Pre on Sprint. How much of a difference does that extra RAM make? Preliminary results are in and the difference is: a lot.

And here we go, today’s president is brought to you by Pepsi…

“Reporting from Washington – The Supreme Court today overturned a century-old restriction on corporations using their money to sway federal elections and ruled that companies have a free-speech right to spend as much as they wish to persuade voters to elect or defeat candidates for Congress and the White House.”

“”Under today’s decision, multinational corporations controlled by foreign governments” would have the same rights as Americans to spend money to tilt U.S. elections. “Corporations are not human beings. They can’t vote and can’t run for office,” Stevens said, and should be subject to restrictions under the election laws.”

1st zBrush Model

January 17, 2010

So I spent a couple hours learning zBrush today, here is what I came up with. The program is really really fun, I love the thing.

My new Wacom Tablet came in today, $404 shipped via Amazon’s Academic Deal with 2-day shipping. Was very much looking forward to it, put it together and thus far I can’t say I find one thing I don’t like about it.

I did a quick “about an hour” sketch of an old oil painting of myself I had from back when I attended Montgomery County Community College. I think I got a lot of re-learning to do but for 1st time back in drawing, not bad?

no more AiON for me.

January 9, 2010

So I’ve decided to get rid of my AiON account, sold it on the webs for a nice amount and will put that cash to good use. Here are some screen shots I’ve collected since I started the adventure.

It seems it could be the next step in personal computer design, or could it?..

LG and Samsung are rolling out new models of laptops that use OLED Transparent screens, these look really neat and all, but how functional are they?, will they work in well lit areas? or will the screens just fade?, what happens when daylight shines on the screen, can you still see anything?

Little detail is available at this time, I hope if these make it out to public they will have that new layer of material that effectively reflects all incoming sunlight from the surface therefore making it daylight viewable. “When it comes to gaming, it’s hard to overdo it on the display front. Sure, Samsung and ATI have given it their best shot with the new SyncMaster MD230 displays powered by ATI’s updated Eyefinity6 tech, but somehow we’ll still be hungry for more by the time next year rolls around. Still, the MD230 is pretty wild, with six-screen or three-screen configurations retailing for $3,099 and $1,899 respectively, with each screen running at 2560 x 1600 for a total of 12x the resolution of 1080p across the six displays in total.”

Google Announces Nexus

January 5, 2010

Nexus One

Google has announced it’s new phone called Nexus, It’s a powerful phone with Android 2.1 under the hood and the powerful Snapdragon processor, lots of free apps, Google Maps GPS, and very MOD friendly OS, what else would you want? Maybe cheaper data plans and more options for carriers.

I am considering this as a phone to get, and I’m not a quick one to jump at these things as I’ve been without a phone for several years now.
